Be careful when using shungite granules! It can be difficult to remove if you spill it on your clothes or other belongings.

We recommend cleaning and charging shungite once a month. You can do this in several ways:

Boil the stones and rinse them with (pure) cold water
Bury the stones in natural soil for a few hours
Leave the stones in direct sunlight
Leave the stones in the moonlight (full moon is more favourable)

Charging Shungite

Sun & Moonlight: Using moonlight and sunlight is a simple yet powerful way to charge your shungite. Leave the stones in direct sunlight for a day, or a night in the moonlight. The best opportunity to charge your stones (in moonlight) is during a full moon. The powerful energy of the full moon actually lasts for 3 days. It is important to place them in an area with direct moonlight or sunlight. Exposing shungite to both sun and moonlight for 24 hours provides the best energy generation.

Water: Take a mild solution of:

- mineral-rich salt
- (natural) vinegar
- baking soda.

Then treat your stone by soaking it in the cleaning solution (maximum 2 to 3 hours). Don't forget to rinse the shungite well under running water, so that no dirt remains on the surface. Then let the stone dry (in the open air). Washing the stones with ocean water is another method of cleansing and charging your stones.

Earth: Allow the soil and earth to draw energy into your shungite stones to charge them. This natural charging technique allows your shungite to reconnect with the earth to replenish powerful energies. As long as you have access to a patch of natural soil, this is one of the easiest ways to cleanse your stones. Using earth soil will work well, as it is recommended to bury the stone in the ground for a powerful cleansing and energy restoring effect. Gardens are helpful but unnecessary. Any plant with soil you have around the house will work just as well.
